Fashion firm Abercrombie & Fitch known for its provocative campaigns, seems to be doing all right. In five weeks time Abercrombie & Fitch reported net sales of £290.59 million for the period ended on January 5, 2008. Net sales increased with 9% of £266,97 million for the five-week period ended December 30, 2006. December comparable store sales decreased 2% for the five-week period ended January 5, 2008, compared to the five-week period ended January 6, 2007. The direct-to-consumer net sales increased with 35% to £22.74 million for the five-week period ended January 5, 2008, compared to the five-week period ended December 30, 2006. Year-to-date, the Company reported a net sales increase of 15% to $£1.561 billion from £1.357 billion last year. Comparable store sales decreased 1% for the year-to-date period. Year-to-date, the company reported that direct- to-consumer net sales increased 51% to £104 million.

In December 2007 the total companies net sales increased with 9% and direct-to-consumer net sales increased with 35%.  The total comparable store sales decreased with 2%  and Abercrombie & Fitch comparable store sales decreased with 1% of which Abercrombie’s comparable store sales decreased with 4%.

Abercrombie & Fitch has 359 stores end 202 abercrombie stores spread over the US, Canada and in Great Britain.
