WWE has announced two matches and a segment for next week’s post-Crown Jewel episode of SmackDown.
Before their match against Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode on tonight’s show, it was announced that The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Big E) will challenge for The Revival’s SmackDown Tag Team titles next Friday.
Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin has also been confirmed for next week’s SmackDown, and Bray Wyatt will appear on Miz TV the day after challenging for Seth Rollins’ Universal Championship in a falls count anywhere match in Saudi Arabia.
New Day & Heavy Machinery defeated The Revival, Ziggler & Roode on SmackDown last week, with Xavier Woods getting the pin on Scott Dawson. Tonight, Ziggler pinned Kingston with a roll-up in their tag match. The Revival attacked Kingston & Big E after, but Heavy Machinery came out to make the save.
Kingston & Big E, The Revival, Ziggler & Roode, and Heavy Machinery will all be part of the World Cup tag team turmoil match at Crown Jewel.
Reigns, Ali, Shorty G (Chad Gable), Ricochet & Rusev will be on Team Hogan for the five-on-five tag match against Team Flair at Crown Jewel. Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley & Drew McIntyre will be on Team Flair.
Reigns, Ali & Gable defeated Corbin, Nakamura & Cesaro in the main event of tonight’s SmackDown. There was then an angle where Corbin attacked Reigns during an interview on WWE Backstage.
SmackDown will be back on FOX next week after tonight’s episode aired on FS1 due to the World Series.
