Back in 2016, New Japan Pro Wrestling lost three incredibly talented wrestlers to WWE when AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson all decided to join the promotion at the start of the year. Gallows and Anderson have since gone on to win the Raw Tag Team Championships, and AJ has won the WWE Championship on more than one occasion since joining WWE. The three are also really good friends behind the scenes as well, prompting them to briefly team up together on camera as The Club. These three individuals have experienced a great deal of success since arriving in WWE, but it sounds like two of the former Bullet Club members almost never came to WWE at all.
AJ Styles himself has just claimed that WWE almost opted not to sign Gallows or Anderson when their NJPW contracts came up tor expiration in early 2016. During an interview on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast, Styles claimed that WWE had no interest in acquiring the hard-hitting tag team at all. Thankfully, WWE eventually did decide to sign the two after Styles strongly recommended that WWE pick them up. Styles is currently the WWE Champion, and Gallows and Anderson not occasionally team up with Finn Balor. Perhaps one day The Club will reunite with Styles by their side, but for now, Gallows and Anderson are still teaming up together on the Raw brand.
It is no secret that WWE has a ton of exciting and energetic entrance themes that have become associated with certain members of the roster. Fans are looking forward to some of the extravagant entrances that are sure to take place at WrestleMania this year. Before that happens though, it looks like some of these WWE entrances themes have already taken over the streets of New Orleans. WWE just released a video of a marching band performing entrances themes belonging to the likes of John Cena, Bobby Roode, and Kurt Angle in New Orleans, Louisiana. It won’t be long now before WrestleMania 34 finally takes place in the “Big Easy” on April 8th.
