It appears the rumors may have had some grains of truth to them concerning WWE’s plans for an Undertaker comeback. John Cena and Undertaker had been rumored for months, and Cena issued a challenge to the Deadman on Raw.
He mentioned that the two of them have combined for 39 WrestleMania appearances, but have never faced each other. He added that he was told that match couldn’t happen. However, there is still some time to build up for New Orleans. Fans of the Deadman can cling to a glimmer of hope for a comeback.

Then, Cena confirmed that he will appear tomorrow on SmackDown Live to try to create his path to WrestleMania. Admittedly, the SmackDown angle would not play in to a match with Undertaker, but who knows for sure? More rumors have Cena challenging Shinsuke Nakamura for a match at Fastlane and with that show only two weeks away that could be a one off on the SmackDown-exclusive pay per view to get Cena on that card.
