It was previously reported that Rey Mysterio sustained an injury during a tag team match last Friday night in Waterbury, Connecticut for Northeast Wrestling. According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, it is believed that Mysterio tore his left biceps in a match he teamed up with Flip Gordon as they took on the team of Joey Mercury and Caleb Konley. According to those who saw Mysterio backstage after the match, there was heavy swelling in his left arm.
The report also indicated that Mysterio notified Mercury about the injury as the match was underway. Mercury was said to be ready to abruptly end the match, but Mysterio immediately set up a double 619 on his opponents before pinning Konley with a splash off the top rope for the win.
According to a recent report by Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Rey Mysterio is scheduled to be examined today for the injury he sustained last Friday night.
