Vince McMahon’s football league was seen as a colossal failure when it originally ran back in 2001. Despite this, recent reports and trademarks hinting that McMahon’s new Alpha Entertainment company could be used to bring back the XFL have been brought up recently. PWInsider is now reporting that WWE’s production staff are currently in the process of creating material announcing the return of the league. McMahon reportedly wants to build a proper infrastructure with teams, players, and coaches before officially running any games. As a result, the report claims that the plan for the XFL to officially return at some point in 2020.
Jeff Cobb has become a significant name on the independent wrestling circuit in recent years. This could be attributed to his run on Lucha Underground as Matanza Cueto. With recent reports claiming that Lucha Underground will begin taping another season soon, it’s no surprise that Cobb has officially been pulled from wXw events in Germany scheduled during March 9-11. Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that the show will begin taping its fourth season in late February/early March, so it definitely looks as though this could confirm those taping dates. This also likely means that Matanza will be returning for the newest season of Lucha Underground.

Despite still being a beloved character, “Woken” Matt Hardy has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start in WWE. A quick loss to Bray Wyatt during this week’s 25th anniversary of Raw show did little to change that. However, it looks like Hardy could be taking some steps to remedy the loss, and the effects could be drastic. Hardy took to Twitter to tease that he will be returning to the Hardy Compound where the rest of his “platoon” resides. Fans still have yet to see a match akin to the “Final Deletion” ever since “Woken” Matt Hardy arrived in WWE. However, the fact that he is now teasing the return of his compound should definitely provide some excitement for the future.
On this Eve in The York of New, I lost a single Battle in #TheGreatWar to an ETERNAL RIVAL.
I must return to The Hardy Compound & draw from the POWAH of my PLATOON.
