Every single Fashion Files segment on Smackdown lately has been building towards Fandango and Tyler Breeze finding out who has been attacking them for the past few weeks. Names such as SAnitY, The Authors of Pain, and Erick Rowan & Luke Harper have all been rumored to be the culprits, but now, new suspects are being reported. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now says that The Colons could be revealed as the mystery tag team. Primo Colon has been out of action due to a knee injury which has since been healed. Epico Colon has been kept off of television ever since the injury to Primo. They could be returning to Smackdown any week now.
WWE just concluded the Mae Young Classic, and the series proved to be a hit with audiences. WWE has seen success with the Cruiserweight Classic, UK Championship Tournament, and with the Mae Young Classic, so it does seem as if the company is going to be doing another tournament next year. Cageside Seats reports that the company is considering doing a tournament based on tag teams next year. This would likely follow a similar blueprint that past tournaments have used: bringing in tag teams from independent promotions and having them compete in Full Sail for a trophy. The report mentions that WWE could also be doing a second Mae Young Classic tournament next year.
One of the most shocking returns in pro wrestling recently has been the sudden reemergence of Jim Cornette in the Impact Zone. Cornette was brought into the company to replace Bruce Prichard who has had some scheduling conflicts as of late. He is not signed to any sort of contract and has said that he does not intend on staying with the company for very long. Cornette announced on his MLW.com podcast that he is going to be attending the Impact television tapings in November right after the Bound for Glory pay-per-view. Jim Cornette said that he is currently negotiating with the company on how many days he will be working the television tapings because he cannot stay for the entire week of tapings in Orlando.
