– It was reported in this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Maria Kanellis, who appeared for WWE from 2004 to 2010, was among the former Divas contacted by organization officials to return. The possibility of a comeback, however, fell through when some unspecified female talent learned of WWE’s interest in Kanellis, causing management to shelf the idea.
In 2011 and 2012, Kanellis hosted an online show for AfterBuzzTV.com discussing Raw events, which was most notable for her cryptic remarks regarding the personal lives of Kelly Kelly and The Bella Twins. Regarding the report and past remarks, she tweeted Thursday, “As for the other rumors: I have respect for all Divas including the Bellas and Barbie now. What’s past is past. #oneloveonelifeladyfirst.”
