Hello one and all. Heat is about debuts and returns this week. Three matches on the board. We begin with………………………….

Cody Rhodes vs KC James
Rhodes is making his Heat debut while James is getting another look at. Lilian forgets James’ name and is seen apologizing on her way out. Both men lockup to the corner then break. Cody reverses a wristlock before scoring with a shoulder tackle and armdrag into an armbar. James pushes at Rhodes’ face as Rhodes goes back to the wristlock. James takes Rhodes to the corner. Both men exchange punches. Rhodes applies a side headlock then lands a shoulder tackle before running into a knee to the gut. James hits an armbar takedown for a nearfall. James stands over Rhodes’ arm and grips Rhodes in a handlock. Rhodes gets a rollup for two before walking into a punch. With Rhodes staggered, James winds up the arm in the corner then punches the face and boots the arm. James delivers a snapmare for a nearfall before going back to the handlock. James pushes and slaps the arm before switching to an armbar. Rhodes gets up, punching James into the corner before armdragging free. James advances into a kick to the gut. Rhodes lands a series of punches. Rhodes ducks James before scoring with a dropkick and backbodydrop off the ropes. Rhodes stalks James before hitting a running bulldog for a nearfall. James goes to the corner asking for mercy. Rhodes unloads with punches. James reverses an Irish whip, Rhodes floats over a charge, boots the gut and hits a DDT. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: CODY RHODES.

Ron Simmons vs Johnny Parisi
Damn!!! Simmons gets a good pop as he’s making a rare in-ring appearance. Welcome back to Heat Johnny Parisi. Simmons begins with a boot to the gut before flooring Parisi with one punch. Simmons works over Parisi in the corner with punches to the gut and head. Simmons Irish whips Parisi who rebounds into a drop toehold. Simmons drives a forearm into Parisi’s back. Simmons gets Parisi up who delivers a jawbreaker before charging into a spinebuster. Thanks for coming Johnny. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: RON SIMMONS. Post match Simmons gets on the mic. “DAMN”. Perhaps a tune up match for Simmons before facing Santino Marella?

Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs The Highlanders
Main Event time. Having had in my view the best match at Unforgiven I found it counterproductive the way that Triple H buried Londrick, Cade, Murdoch and Carlito on Raw. With the roster currently so thin WWE needs to be creating new stars. Watching that on Monday night just made me sick. Back to today and Londrick get the better crowd pop of the two teams. Kendrick and Rory lockup to the corner then clean break before exchanging hammerlocks, wristlocks and side headlocks. Kendrick flips back from a side headlock, ducks some lunges but runs into a Rory double hand shot to the gut. The Highlanders work over Kendrick’s arm with several shots and wrenches. Robbie goes for a slam, Kendrick slips behind, hiptosses then tags out. Londrick dish out a double flying forearm to Robbie. London gets a nearfall. Robbie reverses a side headlock then hits a shoulder tackle. London trips Robbie as he attempts a stepover. London laughs at Robbie. London applies a side headlock takedown. Back up, London ducks underneath Robbie. London hooks a rollup for a nearfall. Robbie reverses off the ropes, London lands a cross body for a nearfall. Messy exchange there. London Irish whips Robbie who floats over a charge. London kicks the gut, tags Kendrick who springs in with a messy sunset flip for a nearfall. Kendrick applies an armbar, Robbie Irish whips, Kendrick avoids a charge and scores nearfalls following a rollup, schoolboy and backslide. Kendrick tries to work the arm but Robbie punches off the grip and tags out. Rory charges into a drop toehold. Kendrick catches Rory with an oklahoma roll for a nearfall. Kendrick grabs an arm and tags in London. Rory boots London, Kendrick dodges Rory’s hit attempts and as the referee gets Kendrick out, Rory chucks London through the ropes and he hits the floor hard. Heat cuts away for commercials. We return to see Robbie cover London (who made it back in) for a nearfall. Robbie taunts London who fights back with kicks. Robbie thwarts a tag by trapping London in a front facelock. After a Highlander double suplex and nearfall, Rory stomps on London, snapmares him out of the corner and applies a chinlock. London forearms free but Rory cuts him off then drags him away by the leg to the Highlander corner. Robbie tags, lands a falling headbutt to the back before delivering a backbreaker and keeping London draped across his knee. London (who has a cut on his back) uses knees to the head to escape. Rory tags in, stomps the back then Irish whips London who crashes to the mat. Rory kneedrops the back for a nearfall, punches London down and re-applies the chinlock. London punches free until Rory traps him in a bearhug. London uses an inverted atomic drop and headscissors to buy some time before both men tag out. Kendrick springs in forearming down Robbie then Rory off the apron. Kendrick peppers Robbie with a variety of dropkicks and flying forearms. Cover 1-2-broken up by a Rory double axehandle. Rory goes to grab London who sends Rory out of the ring with an enziguiri kick. As London rolls outside, Robbie reverses a Kendrick Irish whip but Kendrick steps off the top rope catching Robbie with some sort of messy moonsault kick. Still a good looking move nonetheless. Kendrick staggers Robbie with some Sweet Chin Music then hits Sliced Bread Number Two for the 1-2-3. Good long matchup despite the one or two sloppy spots. Robbie’s co-ordination was a bit off at times. Here Are Your Winners: PAUL LONDON & BRIAN KENDRICK. Post match Londrick get their arms raised and high five.

Korpella signs off and thanks us for watching to end the show. Note: Hardcore Holly beating Roughhouse Ryan O’Reilly was edited off of this week’s show.

Best Match: Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs The Highlanders.
Worst Match: Cody Rhodes vs KC James.
Show Verdict: Thumbs in the middle. The squash match was too short to matter but it was nice to see Ron Simmons back in the ring.

Have a good week and I’ll see you next weekend. Shaun. Comments/praise/feedback/criticism/discussion points please direct to [email protected].
