Well there’s good news, and bad news.

The good news is that the January 21st episode of WWE RAW kicked off with the highest rated first hour since early September. That might be good news for Finn Balor and his opening segment with Vince McMahon, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman, or it might just be a happy coincidence.

The bad news is, RAW took a giant walk off the side of a cliff by the end of the night. While hour one drew an estimated 2.84 million viewers, the second hour dropped to 2.4 million (-15.4%), and then dropped to just 2.1 million (-10.8%) for the third and final hour.

That’s a historic plummet of more than 24.5% from the start of the show to the very end. In total this week’s WWE RAW averaged 2.462 million viewers which is down from last week, but is still among the best numbers over the past 3-4 months.

Their new goal in 2019 needs to be maintaining fans throughout the show because — as obvious as this sounds — their numbers wouldn’t be so bad, relatively speaking, if the third hour didn’t take a leap every week.
