As seen on tonight’s episode of Smackdown Live, Carmella nearly cashed in her Money In The Bank Briefcase once again.

Carmella has held the Women’s Money In The Bank briefcase for over 280 days after she was in the inaugural winner of the match and teased cashing it in just weeks ago during a matchup between Charlotte & Natalya, which ended in a surprise victory for the queen of Harts.

Tonight was deja vu, and nearly ended horribly for Charlotte, as Carmella ran to the ring with her briefcase, once again in the middle of a rematch between Charlotte & Natalya. This time Charlotte was wise to the act and knocked the briefcase out of Carmella’s hand, but the Princess of Staten Island distracted her long enough for Natalya to attempt a roll up again, but Charlotte was able to kick out and ultimately pick up the victory.

Welp, so much for cashing in your #MITB opportunity, @CarmellaWWE… #SDLive @MsCharlotteWWE pic.twitter.com/nSzeC9htWq

Asuka Returns To Smackdown Live To Face Charlotte

In related news, it was seen on Smackdown Live, Asuka made her Smackdown Live return just six days before WrestleMania to confront her opponent at the show of shows, Charlotte.

After Carmella unsuccessfully attempted to cash in her Money In The Bank briefcase, Charlotte picked up a victory, but the celebration was short lived when the Empress of Tomorrow made her way to the ring to confront Charlotte. The two go head to head in 5 days, but tonight they will be on opposite sides of the ring when they are involved in the WWE Mixed Match Challenge.

Asuka got in the face of Charlotte and asked if she is ready, but Charlotte snatched the mic away and asked Asuka if in fact SHE is ready for her. Check out the video below.
