Other Wrestling
CM Punk told the New York Post about potentially wrestling Daniel Bryan in AEW: “That’s somebody that I look at and I go, man wrestling him was always fun. It was never a headache and God I would like to do that again. I would like to do that again soon. It’s a big deal. The guy was in the WrestleMania main event. He’s freshly removed from television. He’s a big deal. He’s a very, very big deal and I think that signals to pro wrestling fans that this is the place to be. This is what I want to watch.”
Punk also spoke to the New York Post about the initials he’s had written on his sneakers in AEW: “I stole this from LeBron James; a lot of basketball players will write messages on their shoes and stuff. I wrote AC on my shoes and CF on the other foot. AC is Always Chicago and CF is Chicago Forever.”
Punk appeared on Busted Open Radio today. Punk was also on WGN News in Chicago yesterday.
On Busted Open Radio, Punk listed opponents that he’d like to face in AEW:

The lame answer is everybody. I’ve never worked with The Young Bucks. I’ve never worked with Kenny Omega. I’ve worked with Cody in what, 2009? Those are the guys that I never mention when I’m doing media because I always feel the need to put the spotlight on other young guys like Darby Allin, Pillman Jr. Hobbs, Ricky Starks. There’s people that have potential. If you know anything about wrestling, and you watch the program, you see those guys, and you go, ‘That guy right there. That guy’s got something.’ I love how they are rough around the edges. That’s so great.

It reminds me of watching an old wrestling television show, studio wrestling, and seeing guys where not everything is super polished. Not everything is an LED screen. These guys have different gear, different looks, personalities that are all different. You can tell they all come from different spots. They’ve trained in different ways and they have different styles. That’s what 100 percent attracted me to the AEW locker room. Why wouldn’t I want to wrestle these guys? Why wouldn’t I want to go there? You can talk about big money matches. There’s way more in AEW than there is anywhere else for me.

Tony Khan was a guest on Tuesday Wrestling Tuesday with Jonathan Hood.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Jon Moxley discussed facing Satoshi Kojima at All Out: “Kojima is here to be celebrated. With that being said, I’m still planning on committing egregious, felonious assault and trying to end his career, and he’d be insulted if I felt any other way. It’s an honor to share the ring with him, and I can’t wait to throw with him. He still has gas left in the tank, and there’s still something he wants to prove. He’ll be staring across from the baddest motherf—er in the business. I don’t expect it to be long, I don’t expect it to be pretty. It’s going to be violent, and I can’t wait to get in there with him.
Brandi Rhodes and Nocking Point Wines have teamed together to launch a new wine called “Whoa Baby!” Rosé.
On the Wrestling Inc. Daily, Kurt Angle discussed offers he’s gotten from AEW: “Yes, they offered me a couple of different contracts. I turned it down for personal reasons, but Tony Khan’s been really nice to me, very generous, and I really appreciate his interest in having me there. But at this particular time, I can’t do it. The first offer, they wanted me to have many matches. The next offer, I think, was three matches, and then one was just an on-camera personality, no wrestling.”
Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion Josh Alexander announced that he’s “finally a pro wrestler” after leaving his day job.
Matt Cardona is the guest on today’s episode of Talk is Jericho.
