What’s up wrestling fans, welcome to the PW Morning Report for Tuesday, December 19th. WWE News

– Stephanie McMahon returned to Monday Night Raw this week to announce the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match for the pay-per-view coming up on January 28th (link). It was a blockbuster announcement that’s already got the entire wrestling world abuzz. We’ve also got an update on what exactly the winner of this historic Women’s Rumble will win, as traditionally the Men’s Rumble sets up the main event at WrestleMania (link).

– Here’s the latest on Natalya’s status after that strange, emotional promo at Clash of Champions (link). Is she finally retiring after yet another major loss to Charlotte Flair? Has she turned from heel to Super Heel? Will she summon a cat army to take over Smackdown Live? We’ll find out… And speaking of Charlotte, we actually DO have an update on her next possible title challenger (link).

– John Cena will be on next week’s Christmas Day edition of WWE Raw (link). The company has released a lot of negative press about making their performers work on Christmas, which is surprising to me as I thought it was generally understood that Raw never skipped a week no matter what. It’s also in the Chicago market, which they always pull out all the stops for. Cena will be on the show to boost numbers in what may end up being the lowest rated episode of 2017. In similar news, me and Doug Enriquez will be at both Raw and Smackdown next week.

– Here’s the latest on the whereabouts of former WWE Superstar Damien Sandow, who had a pretty wild up and down career. He was super over as The Miz’s shadow on WWE television, won Money in the Bank and even had a great singles match against John Cena. But the company never had any idea what to do with him, and he was released. He went to Impact expecting to be a major star very quickly with a ton of hype behind him, but never really impressed outside the WWE bubble and was later released.

– Hanson and Raymond Rowe might be WWE bound in the first quarter of 2018. They’ve finished up dates for 2017 at this point, and will work the 1/4 Tokyo Dome show, but it’s expected that they’ll sign contracts shortly. They do current work for Ring of Honor and it’s not clear exactly when those deals expire. Ricochet, whose deal with Lucha Underground expires in January, will not work Wrestle Kingdom but he is also expected to sign with WWE.

– Here’s the latest card for Wrestle Kingdom 12. Just added was a five-way gauntlet match for the NEVER 6-Man Tag Team Championships plus the annual Rumble match which will take place on the pre-show as usual. Minoru Suzuki will also defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Hirooki Goto in a Title vs. Hair match, and the semi-main event between Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho has been changed to a No Disqualification match.
