Following Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit of Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski (33), Loïc Tanzi reports that Barcelona, the striker’s preferred option, are set to meet the German side’s asking price of €50m. He adds that this offer is set to be made in the coming hours as the Pole’s transfer saga looks set to come to a conclusion.
This would be the third offer from the Spanish club, with Barcelona’s two offers so far consisting of €32m and €40m plus €5m in extras. The Barca management are said to be hopeful that this third attempt should finalise Lewandowski’s move to La Liga. As a result, PSG could miss out on one of their biggest priorities of the transfer window. Should the Catalan club be successful, they would be acquiring the services of one of the best strikers in Europe, having contributed an incredible 344 goals in 375 matches across all competitions over eight seasons at Bayern.
