Following last night’s surprise 3-1 defeat to Nantes, a number of PSG figures, including Sporting Director Leonardo, manager Mauricio Pochettino and Marco Verratti, have spoken out against the referee, Mikaël Lesage.
Today, Foot Mercato report that Neymar has taken his turn in criticising the officiating. Having scored PSG’s first but the fourth goal of the game, the Brazilian was booked for a ‘humorous gesture’.
On his Instagram story, Neymar wrote an ironic message in Portuguese, which read, “I came home to watch Thiaguinho [a famous Brazilian singer] and I got booked.” This message was written over a picture of his television, which appears to show the singer in question.
Neymar also missed a penalty 10 minutes after having received his yellow card. Last night’s game marked his first start since his injury at the end of November.
