Celtic have completed the signing of Odsonne Edouard on a four-year contract from Paris St-Germain for a club record £9m.

The 20 year-old French forward spent last season on loan at Celtic Park, scoring 11 goals in 29 appearances.

Edouard, who was born in French Guiana but has also represented France at various youth levels, previously played for Toulouse on loan during the 2016/17 campaign.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers announced his delight in securing a permanent move for Edouard, “Odsonne is one of the best young players I have worked with and one of the best in Europe. Our fans saw exactly what he is capable of last season and we look forward to working with him again as we look to build on the tremendous success we achieved last year”.

Edouard becomes the Scottish champions’ second signing of the summer goalkeeper Scott Bain also signed a permanent deal after spending time on loan in Glasgow.
