Bordeaux have announced that star winger Malcom has signed a new deal with the club that will take him to 2021, a deal which has delighted the side’s fans.
The 20-year-old joined the French club from Brazilian giants Corinthians in January 2016 and at the age of 18, started to develop into one of the star players in the Bordeaux side. Scoring his first goal for the club against Lorient, Malcom started to mature very quickly given the fact he was a young man in a foreign country having to learn a new language and a different culture.
Last season was Malcom’s best to date, putting in some wonderful performances as he scored seven and assisted five times, a record that he is set to beat this season before the winter break already.
The club has been very pleased with the progression of Malcom, and this new deal signifies how important he is to the club and how highly they rate him, fending off potential suitors months before the January window reopens, despite reported interest from Manchester United and Dortmund.
