OGC Nice President Jean-Pierre Rivère confirmed to L’Équipe on Sunday night that Younes Belhanda’s adventure at the club was coming to an end.

“We know that, generally, he will not be staying with us. I think that he has offers from abroad. And the requested transfer fee is very high (€9m).”

Les Aiglons would also have had to pay the entirety of Belhanda’s €400k a month salary had he signed permanently. They have been paying half of that this season in accordance with the loan agreement with Dynamo Kiev.
