According to Spanish media outlet AS, La Liga outfit Athletic Bilbao are preparing a mega contract extension offer for French defender Aymeric Laporte.
According to the report, Laporte will be offered a large salary raise that would make him the highest paid player at Bilbao. His current deal expires in 2019.
With this new contract extension, Bilbao want to increase Laporte’s release clause in order to fight off interest in the player’s services from Manchester City.
