Saturday: Lyon vs Reims (16:30 GMT)
Lyon will be hoping to avoid a third defeat in seven days as in-form Reims visit the Stade de Gerland on Saturday afternoon. It has been a terrible week for Lyon, with a 3-1 loss away at Bordeaux in the league followed up by a home defeat to Valencia in the Champions League on Tuesday. The hosts have now won just one of their last six games in all competitions and are in desperate need of a boost before the international break.
Reims, on the other hand, have made a fantastic start to the season, losing just one game so far and taking points from the likes of PSG and Marseille in the process. As a result, they sit fourth in the table and could end the day as high as second if they take all three points from this one.
Saturday: Nice vs Nantes (19:00 GMT)
High-flying Nice welcome Nantes to the Allianz Riviera as they look to extend their impressive recent form. The hosts have won each of their last three league outings, against Bastia, Bordeaux and St Etienne, scoring 13 goals in the process.
Nantes, on the other hand, haven’t been anywhere near as proficient in front of goal, netting just four league goals in their opening eight games. They did, however, manage to end a four match losing streak in their last outing, as they emerged 1-0 winners away at Lille.
Saturday: Gazelec Ajaccio vs Toulouse (19:00 GMT)
Gazelec Ajaccio and Toulouse meet at the Stade Ange Casanova with both sides struggling in the league this season. The hosts are still yet to claim their first top-flight victory, having lost six of their opening eight fixtures. Their lowly two points see them bottom of the table, five behind their opponents this weekend.
Toulouse, though, haven’t fared much better so far, winning just the once. That victory came on the opening weekend, at home to St Etienne, and the visitors head into this match on the back of a comprehensive 3-0 defeat away at Bastia last Saturday.
Saturday: Angers vs Bastia (19:00 GMT)
Angers will be aiming to continue their excellent form as they take on Bastia at the Stade Jean-Bouin. The hosts have made a highly impressive start to life in the top flight, losing just one of their opening eight matches. Only Lorient have managed to trip the Ligue 1 new boys up so far, as they head into this game on the back of a 2-1 victory over Marseille.
Bastia, meanwhile, ended a four game losing streak in their last outing, as they beat Toulouse 3-0 at home. That win took them back up to 11th in the table, after their run of poor form had temporarily dropped them as low as 16th. Manager Ghislain Printant will now be looking for his side to record back-to-back victories, a feat they have yet to achieve in the league this season.
Saturday: Troyes vs Guingamp (19:00 GMT)
Troyes will continue their search for their first victory of the season as they tackle Guingamp at the Stade de l’Aube this Saturday. The newly-promoted hosts have struggled to adapt to life in the top-flight so far this season, sitting second from bottom with just four points. However, they did manage to hold Rennes to a 1-1 draw away from home in their last outing.
Guingamp, meanwhile, have been impressive over the last month, winning three of their last five games and holding Monaco in an entertaining 3-3 draw at home last weekend. The visitors have recovered from their poor start of the campaign to sit 13th in the table and manager Jocelyn Gourvennec will be aiming for another three points from this one.
