As reported by RMC, PSG’s French international left-back Layvin Kurzawa came close to leaving the capital club at the end of the window but all attempts failed.

Kurzawa was top of PSG’s list of possible departures for much of the window but, once again, Paris failed to secure a sale despite interest from Barcelona, who asked for Kurzawa as part of a potential swap deal for Ousmane Dembélé.

Lille, who lost fellow left-back Reinildo Mandava to Atlético de Madrid last night, and Bordeaux both made a last ditch attempt to sign the 29-year-old on a six month loan but PSG’s demands proved too great. West Ham, meanwhile, were unable to move Arthur Masuaku along to facilitate a move.

Chelsea, Lyon, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Watford and Napoli were also linked during the window. The extended transfer windows of Turkish football and MLS are still options for Kurzawa, however, say RMC.
