RMC are reporting that despite PSG manager Thomas Tuchel’s attempts to convince Adrien Rabiot to extend his current deal, which runs out next summer, the Frenchman wants to stay with Les Parisiens, but not extend his contract.
Rabiot is happy with the arrival of Tuchel, so much so that he has changed his point of view of wanting to leave PSG this summer, to being happy to stay, but not going as far as being open to extending his deal.

His entourage was contacted by the French media outlet on the subject:
“The contract has not been signed, it is not a question of money, PSG have made the necessary efforts in that regard. It is more about the nature of the challenge on the table.”
PSG sources had the following to say:
“He wanted a new challenge this summer. Things have only slightly changed in recent weeks. But the question will be asked again in the future.”
If Rabiot gets his way of staying in Paris this summer but not signing a contract extension, he will be in a powerful position come January when he will be able to sign a pre-contract with any European club of his choosing.
