Update:The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) has denied media reports that Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has stopped funding for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train after complaints sent by Gujarat farmers. The nodal agency for the execution of the project has claimed that the report is not true and not based on facts.

Earlier, it was reported that the Japan International Cooperation Agency or JICA, has stopped funding for the construction of railway network after over a 1,000 farmers wrote a letter asking them to stop funds citing acquirement of land by overlooking the prescribed guidelines.

The Mumbai-Ahmadabad Bullet Train project is the pet project of PM Narendra Modi. JICA has asked the government to first regularise and address the issues of the farmers whose lands arebeing acquired.Click Here: Spain Football Shop
