The combined Wednesday night audience of 1.365 million viewers was the lowest in over a month.

In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite drew a 0.28 rating, down 12.5 percent from last week. Dynamite finished sixth on cable in that category.
NXT drew a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 27.8 percent from last week. NXT was 42nd on cable for the night. The combined rating of 0.41 in 18-49 matches the lowest number on Wednesday since June of 2020.
Dynamite won every major demo with the exception of people over 50, where the gap was closer than usual with NXT winning with a 0.34 rating to Dynamite’s 0.31.
The rest of the demos were closer than usual as well with the exception of men 18-49. Dynamite more than tripled NXT with a 0.41 rating in that category to NXT’s 0.13. Dynamite was third on cable in men 18-49, only trailing two NBA games.
Dynamite and NXT were especially close with women. That audience seems to have gone to MTV’s The Challenge, Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey, and Lifetime’s Married at First Sight, which all finished in the top five of the 18-49 demo, largely on the strength of the female audience.
As compared to one year ago, Dynamite was down 17.6 percent in viewership and down 20 percent in 18-49. That’s one of the bigger year-over-year drops for the show, but last year’s Dynamite was the first of the pandemic era and featured the debuts of Matt Hardy and Brodie Lee.
NXT was actually up 10.2 percent in viewership year-over-year but down 18.8 percent in 18-49. NXT’s episode at this time last year was a clip show with video packages building up their strongest feuds but no new in-ring content.
